my truck is surging. i can manintain speed but it bucks and jumps and really bad when towing. does not surge at idle that i can tell. what could be the cause? no codes

Back in the days when i started playing with vane pos alot, i had the vanes all out of whack on the top end and the truck would surge as the vanes would bounce off of the max pos and drop boost as they would try to correct, Log your vane pos actuall and des. and see if they are bouncing with the surge. Comanding aboost number the turbo cannot make for whatever reason can cause the same thing to happen.

i have a blocker plate, a finger stick, no kitty, modded air box,free flow filter. stock turbo, predator 2.0, boost stick, built trans....all i can think of right now. plus the lift,38" , blah blah blah
it does it pretty bad on stock tune, worse on 40/tow,not as bad as stock on 65/econ, and least noticeable on 100/extreme....and absolute worst is towing a load with the 40/tow tune.... its not undriveable but its really really really noticeable and annoying as hell when towing something.
and were talking at 20 mph to highway speeds. not wide open 25 psi full track blasts or none of that. just riding down the road....... wide open throttle....well i cant tell if its doing it then or not. but does not feel like it.
gas mileage has not changed, air filter is good, fuel filter was done last wednesday a few days after it started, has not gotten any worse since it started,trans fluid is perfect level.
i wonder if its the fuel pressure reg valve. or maybe a injector or 2?

It might have something to do with the boost stick and the Predator tune, unless it just started and you've been running that programmer for a while.
I had a Pred 2.02 and boost stick and it was really touchy and lots of boost. I ended up taking the boost stick off and it seemed to run a bit better.
I've heard that the Pred 2.0 and boost stick is a good combo though.

Do you have a lift pump, I had similar a simmilar issue like that after i installed my 4094 turbo but it ended up being the internal regulator in my holley pump was stuck and running somewhere over 20 psi. The case was the same though, it did it with all tunes and was even worse towing!!!
