I was doing some logging today to try and figure out why at about 110mph my truck cuts out. Well i have no idea why it does it but from a 23k desired in frame 117 with 100% throttle im at 2900 microseconds with an actual rail pressure of 23400, in frame 118 100% throttle im at 2900us same desired and an actual of 23060 which is 340 psi lower than the previous frame. Now bare with me here this is where it gets interesting.
In frame 119 with the same desired rail pressure with an actual of 24063psi im at 1612us, which i feel is the start of the cut out. In frame 120 with the same desired rail pressure, the actual was 26105psi with an 934us injector opening time i think this is the end of the cut out. Now my next frame actual is 25kpsi and im climbing back up to 2200us. Frame 122 my opening time is still climbing and is at 2600us with an actual rail pressure of 21044. The next few frames are pretty consistant it stays at about 21500psi and about 2600us. So with all of that information right there what would you guys say the problem is? Obviously the pressure spike is the reason right?? I honestly have no idea. So what causes the spike and when it does spike what causes the injector opening time to pretty much slow way down? A couple of weeks ago i was doing the same thing and it cut out so i just kept trying to make it do it and i got a maf code i cant remember what it was but it was maf high voltage id o know that. What do you guys suggest i do first? Thanks in advance!

Why don't you just ask Rob what the problem is if they are his tunes? He knows what he is doing and will help you solve your issue.

Thats a negative on the logs being posted, which i dont know if it really matters or not, because this is what it does. When the rail psi starts to spike something is shutting off the fuel for a second, rpms drop, injector opening time drops, mm3 drops, fuel rail pressure regulatr % goes up, and desired boost level goes down. Then everything goes back to normal for a second or two and then does the same thing.

did you send your tuner the log and see if it was something he could fix? sounds similar to what my max effort tune was doing to me during sledpulls. kept railpressure, yet felt like it was bouncing off the rev-limiter @3400rpm (which in the tune i set to 4500rpm). From what i understood him saying was that there was a fuel temp or engine coolant temp safety thingy that would cut fuel half way down the track? does that make any sense to anyone??? sorry i couldn't explain more... that's just what i barely remember Nick telling me? maybe that could be what your running into?

Well i really dont know i sent him some logs and hes going to check into them to see if it is tuning related, he didnt think it was. Hopefully its simple and an easy fix.

Everuthings good until rail psi spikes to 26k then it starts cutting out. I have a race valve, and I assume since I don't get low rail codes and its not low in the logs that my lift pump is sufficient.
