My hood spring popped off

My passenger side hood spring popped off, do I have to take the hood off to get it back on?

Ive already busted my knuckles a dozen times trying to get that little prick back on!!:baby::baby:

Raise the hood up to the service position and take off the hinge that is giving you problems. Maybe you can pop the spring back on when it is out of the truck.
