My hitch vs. Taurus station wagon

To top off a crappy day at work, I got rear ended on the way home by a guy in a pos Ford Taurus wagon. Thankfully the drawbar in the hitch kept if from ruining the bed and tailgate.

I think that this is a lesson to all of us to sled pull on a stock hitch so it will give when in an accident. Guess I need a tow beast now that his insurance will be buying it.

Yeah that looks a bit more bent then it did at Spring Fling. I always leave my hitch in now. I got a Reese Titan, Ed, and I like it so far. Sorry to hear about your accident.

Guess it could have been worse. No one was hurt. As long as nothing else is wrong that I can't see. Waiting to take for an estimate later this week.

Exact same thing happened to me 2 winters ago. I had the same type of damage too. The other guys insurance bought me a Putnam class V.
