I have a g17 (gen2) and g23 (gen3) among others... Great guns... Put upgraded guide rods and springs in both... Seems like a worth while mod. Congrats, my 17 was my first handgun too about 8 years ago when i was 21... Works/looks the same today and I bought it used then...

Very nice....

I remember the day I bought my first handgun. It was my birthday present to myself on my 21st birthday, many moons ago as they say....She is a Colt Combat Commander in 45 ACP. I still have her, and it is my carry gun. She has served me well over the years, and has had some upgrades along the way......sort of like my truck....funny how that works....:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Nice purchase. I carry a Glock 17 Gen 4 on duty and a Glock 19 Gen 4 off-duty. Both have combat pyramid sights, and upgraded internals for a lighter trigger pull.

DE....most worthless POS on the planet. Maybe the. 50 is different, but both the. 357 and. 44 version had major issues with FTE. That giant slide combined with loads smaller than 220gr wouldnt cycle it for shit. I'd stick with an X frame or red/blackhawk any day over a DE. Besides, on my mind a pistol should be concealable, and even on my slightly larger than tiny ass, a DE would print unless i was eearing a jacket or wassaaaay to big a shirt:D
