The inside Driver side door panel lining has started to peel away...

The seats, headliner, and carpet were all replaced by the original owned so they are like 5 years old the dash, and door panels need replacement but they look ok.

oh man, I don't know if I'd get rid of the numbers matching aspects, even for a dmax chevelle. Find a roller if you wanna do that and put whatever drivtrain you want in it. Taking the numbers matching powertrane out in favor of a dmax would surely lower the value of the car??? Just don't think I would do that conversion with that particular car.

If you just HAVE to do the conversion with that car, KEEP the #s matching stuff and don't hack the car up so that you can put it back to #s matching condition in the event you ever decided to sell it.

It is very nice looking!!

Just buy the one from Sac. Chevelle/LB7! That thing could be so much faster then it is, the guy has no idea.

Chances are the Chevelle will stay 100% stock it is just a fun notion(sp?) to think about I will have my truck much faster than it is before the Chevelle gets a new powerplant

I'm a huge fan of the Duramax, and you guys may laugh me off the board, but I just don't understand why people want to put any diesel in a classic car. It's cool and all, but I would much rather see a blown big block or something if someone is going to put a non-stock engine in something like that. Now putting a hot-rodded diesel in an old pickup, that's a whole other story.

Oh yeah, the car looks great, Nick. I love it. Makes me want to get to work restoring my dad's '66 Impala SS 396 4 speed car (factory air too ).

Wow! Cool car! Congrats on getting it fixed up.

I had it restored about 4 years ago took 7 months IIRC new rear quarter's, new front fender's, new vinyl top, new truck lid, and new hood. Door skins were saved and reworked a little. Obviously new paint, new correct SS stripping, new chrome pieces. It is still a work in progress:D
