I want to try running no muffler on my truck. I don't want to pay $80 for a stainless muffler delete pipe so was thinking 4" flex pipe for $20. Has anyone else tried this and is flex pipe good enough that I can just leave it on if I like it? I know our semi has some flex pipe in the exhaust but it isn't underneath where rocks can get at it.

I had flex pipe for a year on my lbz when I had the stacks on it worked fine. When I went back to a regular exhaust I just measured it and went to a exhaust shop had them cut me a piece and open up the one end to slip on.

Just go to a muffler shop and have them splice in a section of pipe. I can't imagine that costing more than $50. It's really easy to do. If nothing else the flex pipe and a couple clamps should be fine.
