Wondering what you guys think about using mudders like the BFG Mud Terrain KM2's for drag racing??

I am assuming because of the stiffer tread compound they probably have a higher tendency of spinning than say an all terrain even in 4wd?

It can and has been done. The track won't like you because they tear up the track and your 60' times won't be the greatest. I surely wouldn't by a set of mud tires for the track but if that is all you have they will work.

i agree dustin if you have them run um till you need more traction , but would not buy for that purpose , on a side note some people have cut some very good 60's on just a/t tires .

We have cut 1.66 60' times on 285 BFG ATs on 2 different trucks and 1.67 60' on 255 Tempra Trail Cutter (a mild MT) tires on the same trucks - both were running 12.4s at the time, both were stock springs one with traction bars and one clamped.

I'm pretty sure Winston cut low 1.6 (1.62, 1.63) on a set of 265 Generic ATs during his 11.4 runs.

There isnt a track for 1000 miles around me, it was just a thought running through my head. I run mudders all summer because I work at a gold mine and regular tires just don't cut it out there. I am the only one out of the 4 trucks that actually drive around the mine that hasn't had a tire ripped open yet. May also have in part to do with my driving.
