Yesterday was brutal for many, but damn I had fun. I got to move snow all day with our MX240 and 12' Blade. With bigger injectors and tons of weight, I could make it through a lot, but there was still quite a few drifts that kicked my ass.

We also had the loaner L70E Volvo out moving snow too, but it has concrete tires on it which are basically useless. Our L60E is getting a new transmission.

The Dmax plow truck, was basically a nice lawn ornament, pretty much useless in this storm. We had 20" of snow, and the biggest drift I went through was over the cab of the tractor, but it was empty on the other side so I had somewhere to wing the snow otherwise I wouldnt have gotten through.

Heres a couple pics.

Nice! I've pushed quite a bit of snow in a JD 4455 w/duals and 4wd and a county plow on the front but that right there kind of takes things to the next level!...My favorite snow plow though was a few years ago when I was using a D5R on the roads:spit: Had more snow then the county equiptment could handle. Probably like what your dealing with now!

ya i plowed a lot of the roads for them, a few of the local farmers are contracted to help out. Were looking into doing it next year and purchasing a large 2 stage snowblower for the front of one of our tractors.

The county got their grader stuck so our neighbors went over with their 9620 Deere with its 16' blade on it, and it also has the complete weight package. Well they got that stuck, so they went over with their payloaders and dug it out and waited for the big wrecker to show up.

Nice pics. We have 12 tractors and a couple skids out on snow. My dad started plowing commercially with tractors in 1970 as a way to keep the guys and machinery busy in the winter. It's great to have money coming in year round and allows us to have newer machinery around.

Here's a couple vids of our tractors.
