I am in the process of install the small LBZ MPI kit. Has anyone had problems getting the mpi hot pipe to mount up? it seems as if the flange isnt cut the right size. Has anyone had to do any modification to it?

When I helped install one, we just made sure to leave everything loose. What's the issue with the flange?

Is this the new style MPI kit? Which flange? V-band to stock turbo or the flange for the primary?

Leave everything loose, fit that flange first and then see how things line up.

copy that, ill try to work with it some more. it almost seems as if the pipe is made for a different turbo. the pipe is .008 bigger than the inside diameter that it slides in to.

I'm confused. Is the V-band you are having trouble installing on the hot pipe or the down pipe? If it is on the hot pipe, the V-band goes to the stock turbo. If it is the down pipe, I don't think there is anything that slides into anything else. It should be a flat flange on the back of the turbine housing and a flat flange on the front of the down pipe.
