I found a boost leak on the v-band connection between the big charger and the cold pipe. Is there an O-ring missing or is there none required?

There is a o-ring on my kit, however the twins on my truck are the original LB7 twins that Nathan used to build his jigs. They belonged to Subman then Mika & now me. I would give Nathan a call, He may have forgot to cut a groove in the flange.

Hmm, maybe the newer kits don't need the o-ring.

A guy could put some Prussian blue (machinist die) on one of the flanges and clamp the pipe back on. When you pull it back off it should show you how well it's sealing or not.

I dont have an MPI kit but I do know my EPR kit has an O-ring. My cold pipe flange has a machined groove to accept an o-ring though. I actually traced my leak to this spot a few weeks ago and have not been able to get it to seal yet. The factory o-ring dried out, and I've tried to get it to seal using some other ones i've ordered with no success. Im wishing I ordered a hose connection now :( ....Guess thats what the hack saw is for :spit:
