Hi guy's, I was wondering what some of you guy's we're getting for fuel economy with your semi modified everyday drivers or what your getting with your bad ass modified rigs. I know the D-max isnt famous for good mpg but after my mods depending on driving conditons I can get 17.5 around town and 21.0 on the highway. and some times on the way to work( @ 65mph) with no wind my display says 24.0. The guy's @ work say I'm full of shit and they kinda make fun of me and say hey does your truck get 28 mpg like Justin's. It's starting to piss me off! I calculated it once @ the filling station after a trip to South Dakota and it was right @ 22 but I babied it pretty good! This crap kinda blew over until my buddy put an Hs Dpf delete on his 6.7 Cummins and now their taunting the shit out of me about it. He wants to run them pretty bad and I just smile and shine him on. One day we'll meet up and see who wins but for now I take the free bus ride to work with diesel being over $3.00 here and a baby on the way

It sounds to me that you are doing pretty good. I am happy with the 17-18 in get in 2WD on the highway with a summer mileage tread at commuter speeds... 65-75 mph... there is a surge with the commuting that means you on on and off the throttle as some bozo decides to go slow in the rock-n-roll lane... :) Mileage drops to about 13.5 in 4WD for same speeds in winter running the studs.

That mileage is with all the mods in the sig, including the HTT. If I get on the throttle, all bets are off. I would guess my DD tune is about 500HP...I have to guess because there are no dynos available up here.

I can get a consistent 20MPG out of mine doing mixed driving if I can keep it below 1/2 throttle. This last tank was around 16-17, but I was hammering on it with a big tune in it the whole tank strictly around town. I've seen 22MPG on the hwy, but I have a REALLY hard time keeping my foot out of it. Averaging 700+ miles a tank is nice though.

I do pretty good if I drive it nice but that mpg goes away with just a little playing around. I'm also going by what the display on the dash says I haven't calculated it @ the pump for a while but I seem to do pretty good when I drive like a grandpa. When I get my lift pump installed will I see a decrease in mpg or will it get better?

TX of course
I can get a solid 21MPG at 75 and in town 14-16. Taking rural roads to work I get 18, but I normally get on it a few times.
