I have a 2006 lbz crew cab short box 4x4, 7 inch BDS high clearance lift, 35inx20 toyo m/t, i was wondering how to gain back some of the mpg's i lost after lifting it. I put a edge juice with attitude programmer on it about 3 months before the lift was installed. Was averaging 20 mpg's but now around 10. any ideas? Also, i was told by several diesel guru's that PPE overs a stage 2 air box mod kit that would be the best option. HELP!

your stock intake modded is good for well over 500 hp..... have you changed the fluids yet in the front/rear diffs and transfer case, and trans yet??? it might help alittle... also, there is more to be had in the tuning world over your edge... do you use fuel additives when you put fuel in your truck??? also get some crc maf cleaner and clean your maf and see if that helps... are you using a drop in air filter? sometimes the oil gets on the maf and makes it read funny.. keeping it under 2k rpms and how you use your right foot will also help with more mpg

I havent made any mods to my air box yet, still stock including filter, i just changed all my fluids before i put it in storage, but i have heard about cleaning the MAF sensor, I have a list of things i need to replace this spring when i pull it out of storage and that is on my list of things to do. What is the benefit of an EGR delete kit? or can i just put a blocker plate on it? I have only used additives a few times, and before i put it away i dumped a full bottle of anti gel, injector cleaner, and cetane booster in it and ran it through. Could the edge be the problem? I have heard a lot about EFI live and its benefits, but being relatively new to the diesel world I have been told its alot to take on unless you know what your doing. Any ideas?

For the most part you just have to live with the fact that a lifted dmax gets crappy mileage. 35's aren't that huge of a tire but between the added weight and the added wind resistance from the lift it kills your mileage. But you likely could gain a little bit back from some quality tuning.

Egr stands for exhaust gas recirculation..... what happens is it puts exhaust back in to the intake of the truck.... what happens is depending on how you drive it.... soot builds up in your engine.. Its all in what you like.. a blocker plate works well but some people like to remove the hole system...
