Ok so I am moving the fuel filter housing to make rom in the engine bay (just in case ;)).

I am going to put it on the frame rail next to lift pump. Should I put the lift pump so it puts pressure thru the filter )like stock) or set it up so the filter is before the lift pump and the lift pump pulls fuel thru the filter.

also will it be a good Idea that far away from the cp3 as I will have a bypass around the lift pump and when the lift pump is un needed, I t will be off...?

Make sure the filter can handle the GPH you need,
I put mine before the filter just incase the pump crapped out and put debri in the lines after the filter.

Mike I would run a 10 or higher micron before the pump then do the 2 micron after, It would be alot of work on the filter pulling thru the 2 micron.I am going do away with the factory housing and heater and lines,Run one of my aeromotive like on this page http://www.jegs.com/p/Aeromotive/Aeromotive-In-Line-Fuel-Filters/750079/10002/-1 I have a new 10 micron and a 100 micron extra from th erace car, then use my weldone 2035 fuel pump this one http://www.weldonracing.com/product/1-6/D2035-A_%28-12_inlet_and_-10_outlet%29.html then maybe this as a after pump filter http://www.jegs.com/p/Perma-Cool/Perma-Cool-Fuel-Filter-Water-Separator-Kits/745089/10002/-1 , Since it really does not get that cold here anymore I should not need the heater and could always add one back later.

Lots of filter companys that sell the housing can include a heater and manual pump if needed Henry. My )5 has the heater relocated to the frame rail:)

Also the GPH is more important than the micron as far as flow EG: a 200GPH 2 micron can flow more than a 60 micron 80 GPH.....So sucking through wont be hard on the pump if you have the correct GPH;)
