Sounds kinda dangerous... Why not just use the bed or a trailer?

Just guessing but I think he's pulling a trailer. The truck will handle having the bike there as we drive all over with 1000 lbs snowblades on our trucks, just not in the summer. I think you'll be fine but it really depends on how big the trailer your towing and how much wind the bike actually blocks. Also not sure how legal it willl be. Anychance yo can put it on the back of the trailer.

Not that anything is wrong with the way you have the bike but I would weld a reciever to back of your trailer and put it on the back. Buts that just because it would annoy the shit out of me being in my line of view. We had a system where we had a barbecue pit connected to the back of a trailer and it was great.
