I wanted some feed back from you guys with some advice, I have a buddies dad that bought a 05 lly with a blown up motor in it, I have a lly motor, he is buying it and im going to put it in for him. I have had the motor sitting covered in a shop for 3 yrs, I dont know if its a big deal that its sat around for that long but I wasnt sure the best route, I was just gonna put it in, put all new filters, new oil and change all of it in a couple hundered miles. or should I use any additives anything like that? Im just worried it sat around for so long.

I know this is old school, but I like to fill the cylinders up with MARVEL mystery oil if they've been sitting for a long time. It will free up the rings if they're stuck from sitting and lubricate the cylinders and such so they aren't dry from sitting. I've free'd up quite a few frozen up engines this way that have sat for a long time, so now I do it to all of em as a precaustionary measure.
