Finalized everything for the first week in February. Motor is coming out for studs and gaskets. Also going to do RDL Castflows, LBZ regulator, and have a bit of porting done to my Y-Bridge(or maybe a DHD full delete and y-bridge). After its all back together I'm going to have Tony tune it and hopefully I can break 600 on fuel!

Jan, I just bought the sled and need to put up a garage at my house not to mention I have a destination wedding in May and my own wedding in September. I know if I do rods I will end up throwing injectors and more fuel at it too $$$. I think I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a short block and slowly work on that slowly just in case I grenade mine.

While you have it out if you plan to twin it someday id drill the oil pan and install the fitting and cap it.

What is a DHD delete?I highly recommend the season bridge.

If I twin it the motor will have to come out for rods anyways. And the DHD is the all seasons delete. It's a full 3" all the way including the Y bridge. I like the Profab delete but it is only the egr delete and does not inclue the larger Y bridge.

Edit: The person working on my motor (Chris R) is actually going to build a 3" full bridge. I misunderstood him and thats why I thought about the allseasons. I'm going to let him build a full delete and see how it goes!!

That's a great idea actually. Steve, it was a huge pain in the ass drilling and tapping for that fitting with the motor in. Even if the motor would come out again for twins, I'd still consider doing it while it's out this time, you never know.

Yeah, I've done two sets of studs in the truck and they were not fun at all lol. But I've never pulled a motor out of one so I just assumed it would be more difficult

The guy doing the work has done a bunch of them and says it's faster for him to pull the motor. Aka cheaper for me in labor. He knows his stuff so I don't ask too many questions when it comes to how he does his thangg
