Moved my buddies 1 ton chevy with a siezed rear end this week and half way up the trailer it broke some teeth and came right off. Spent a hour and a half with cribbing and bottle jacks putting it back on. And then i pulled the heavy beast with my race tune:D

The rear end on the truck is seized up and it wouldn run. So we were pulling it on with my truck and half way up the trailer the rear end came loose and it came flying up and fell off before we could get it stopped:booboo:

Here's a flat bed drivers trick for you guys. Squirt some dish soap where the wheels track. It'll slide along safely.

Could have just pulled the rear axles out and it would have rolled real easy, something to think about next. Thats if it still has the FF 14 bolt in it.

I was gonna suggest something similar. Could have pulled the rear axle shafts and drive shaft and put it in 4wd and drove it up on the trailer.

I would have done that if it was a floating rear axle but its not. Go figure and the truck wouldn run cause starting and driving it up in 4 wheel drive was the orignal plan but since it wouldn run after 45 min of screwing with it and it had to be out of there that night we changed tatics and wow did it almost screw us over.

Did someone swap the factory axle? A 1 ton should have the 10.5" full floating Corporate 14 bolt.

Oh well, at least you got it on the trailer without anyone getting hurt.
