It doesn't matter if they are technically correct. Perception is reality. Especially when you can get other people to agree with you.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, just as trickery is the greatest form of persuasion.

Just ask the Prius drivers if they are helping the environment. They will tell you all about it. Just like the salesman told them.

There is some sort of rant published on the internet about people in Fort Collins or wherever blowing smoke our of their trucks.

Are there any rants about how Prius drivers in Fort Collins are killing people or whatever hyperbole that guy used?

Do you think they care if it comes from a carburetor or flux capacitor? I'm guessing not. Their Prius or bicycle got smoked out by a jackass and they are mad enough to write about it on the internet.

So now the score in Fort Collins is normal people 1..... jackass smoking them out 0

What a bunch of pansy-asses.

Here's a quote from the comments on that article.

"But in the meantime you might help by using the Colorado Smoking Vehicle Hotline. If the same person gets called in enough, maybe they'll get a fine:

To report a smoking vehicle, call (303) 692-3211.

- or -
E-mail the Smoking Vehicle Hotline at [email protected].us

They say "please include whether the vehicle was diesel or g...as powered and include the vehicle's license plate number." I don't know if that means they will ignore diesel complaints, but it's worth a try. See:
http://www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellite/CDPHE-AP/CBON/1251594448796"

So the GOV is campaigning against "rolling coal" now? :spit:

Is there a number where I can report the toxic waste coming from their Prius production plant?

Sent from my iPhone.

This has been hanging at our local state emissions place every time I go in to get my caddy smogged...

But I will admit I used to be a part of that 'cruising' scene down main street in Fort Collins. Still will drop by here and there as I've met now good friends from cruising. But I have personally witnessed the stereotypical jackwagons that will smoke out old town Fort Collins where the average public is there to enjoy the atmosphere. As one person in the comments noted, we're in the same category as the obnoxious motorcycle riders with loud pipes. Hell the only reason I found this article was a fellow tech I work with IS that stereotype, who LIVES in Fort Collins, who actually tagged me in that article on his Facebook. :(

Big clouds of black smoke is why I own a diesel in the first place. What a bunch of tree hugging pussies. You drink far more toxins in the tap water than is contained in a cloud of soot, but no one is calling for the EPA to do anything about water treatment. Gotta love this country!

What I want to know is... yes he obviously has some points and is representing the general public. But being that he is posting an article in public media you would think to do a little better research on your subject your talking about. Poor author skills on that if you ask me.

Around here diesel trucks are the new ricers. They are getting cheap so every kid has one. They all think its the cool thing to do. But yet complain about the epa cracking down. Its getting old quick.
