More carnage after racing

OK, This truck is about to put me in the poor house! 2 weeks ago I broke a front axle and split the front diff. I took the truck apart to change the suspention to get it to hook better(coil over front shocks,springs,remove torsion bars,remove rear springs,install caltrac bars,real wheels like Pats,M&H tires) and now I broke the output shaft in the tranny. I really,really want to put a powerglide with a lockup in this pile. Enough with the rant but when will it end???? I guess I will never get enough money for a camera for pictures!!!:hello: Kat I promise I will get some when I get it apart. Thanks Jeff

Coil over front!?!? Don't hear much bout modified front susp like that on the it's trucks. I like it though! Isn't that what most upper class pulling trucks run also? I know bbd is like that and would assume watsons next will be like it.

Would like to see the front end mods!


As for powerglide. Think one can be made to handle the torque with the weight of these trucks???

Sorry about your bad luck bro, sometimes you have to slow down to go fast......

The power glide would need more RPM to couple it's convertor than the current d-max tuning has to offer. there all non lock up.

You might have to live with a certain sixty foot time, and leave it there. That happened with our Corvette. We did hundreds of passes with no problems, but then we tried to launch harder and broke pretty much everything in the driveline.

Casper with a loose converter can survive about 2700rpm launches. But when I dialed it up to 3000rpm, it blew the T-case into shrapnel.
