Hey guys, recently I started to replace the injectors in my truck and was given a set of glow plugs as a gift a few years ago so I figured I'd do them as well. Now here I'm am a few weeks later with the motor out of the truck and the heads off. I had one glow plug break in each head. We got the plug out of the drivers side head and the new one screws in just fine. After 6 hours we got the plug out of the passenger side head but the threads aren't in good shape. I know this is a common problem. Has anyone ever used a Timesert (if that's how it's spelled) on their truck that's had this issue? I was just curious to know before I spent the $250 on it how well they work. Also, I'm sure this is a long shot but how much different are the LLY and later plugs than LB7 plugs. I was looking at a diagram of each and a friend suggested trying the later plugs since the threads are further down on the plug and might bite in my head but I'm sure they're probably different electronically. Thanks in advance

Don't use other glow plugs in your lb7... Use lb7 glow plugs.
