Hey guys, recently I started to replace the injectors in my truck and was given a set of glow plugs as a gift a few years ago so I figured I'd do them as well. Now here I'm am a few weeks later with the motor out of the truck and the heads off. I had one glow plug break in each head. We got the plug out of the drivers side head and the new one screws in just fine. After 6 hours we got the plug out of the passenger side head but the threads aren't in good shape. I know this is a common problem. Has anyone ever used a Timesert (if that's how it's spelled) on their truck that's had this issue? I was just curious to know before I spent the $250 on it how well they work. Also, I'm sure this is a long shot but how much different are the LLY and later plugs than LB7 plugs. I was looking at a diagram of each and a friend suggested trying the later plugs since the threads are further down on the plug and might bite in my head but I'm sure they're probably different electronically.
