We took the hamsters to Monster Jam at Anaheim stadium tonight.

What a great show with lots of carnage  Last time we went I don't remember it being so exciting.

Sucked for Pat though went to go buy him some beers and they carded me  I left my purse in the stands so he had to go get his own beer :baby:

They had one in Des Moines last weekend. Wish we had a larger indoor venue for these things. The kids had a great time. My youngest wanted to go again this weekend. I will have to find an outdoor one for them this summer.:D

The King and My kid. We went to Monster Jam at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta yesterday. Got there early for the pit party, checked out the trucks met the drivers then went and sat in our seat for a little while. I look up and The King is walking by. I grab my kid we stop him for a minute and he lets me take a picture. This crowd then starts to form around him and security comes and takes him away. We were one of three that got a picture.

Thanks Kat, He was great. Everyone thought that Dennis Anderson and Grave Digger was a big deal until King Richard Petty showed up. They surrounded him within seconds. We were lucky and he happened to walk in right next to us. I have always liked him but my son really digs him because of the movie "Cars"

Nice pic Bighawg, congrats on getting to meet the King. When I was close your son's age I got to meet the late great Dale Earnhardt. I got my picture taken with him as well as a few autographs, something I will always remember. I got to meet the King also at the Daytona 500 in '99, very nice guy to talk to.

Kat, sounds like an awesome time for the kids. We have a venue in Harrisburg called the Farm Show building. They used to have a monster truck show in there, my Dad took me once as a kid. They have since quit doing it, I believe the venue is too small. But on a side note they just started indoor sled pulling there last year :D

There are so many big name trucks now, that it is easy too put on two, three or even four shows. There are three Grave Digger trucks on tour now and I think three Maximum Destruction trucks as well.

Yup, these trucks are actually entertainment corporations with multiple identical trucks.

That's what I was thinking, but I thought most people are interested in the drivers for each truck, not only seeing the truck.

I love Monster Jam, we used to go every year until we got to busy. It was always the national finals in Vegas when we went and they pulled out all the stops. If you can see one Monster Jam, go to Vegas, it's a great show.
