So its time to put tires on the wifeys lbz. Im going to stick with the same size 305/70/16. When we bought the truck last year it has micky t baja muds on it. Crappy tire in my opnion for what we use it for

We dont leave the pavement much but i like to keep allterrians on the dd. Just because we see some snow/rain through the year. I do pull some not a lot but i want e rated tires just in case i do tow i dont have to worry about it. Peace of mind.

Now my question is i was looking at hankook dynopro and the good ol bfg ko.
I have never ran hankook do u guys like them or should i just get the good ol ko the hankook are about 100 bucks cheeper. or is there something better out there u would recomend for the wifeys pavement pounder

Toyo Open Country AT 2, trust me you won't regret it.

I did, enough that I took them off and got nitto Terra grapplers and love them.

The toyos were bad in the rain and didn't wear well at all.

Good ol bfg though you can't ever go wrong.

Hankook tires are made in South Korea, sorry that's enough of a reason for me not to buy them.

That must have been the old Toyo AT. The new AT 2 is a completely different tire old Toyo and nitto looked very similar in tread pattern but the Toyo had a tighter pattern that caused them to drive funny in the rain and wear bad.

The BF Goodrich AT had a compounding change about 2 years ago and we can not get the life out of them like we used to. Hankooks are trash tires as far as I am concerned. They started having heavy balancing issues so much that I have customers sign a disclaimer if they want a set.

Another tire that we have good luck with is the Hercules Terra Trac AT and the Cooper Discoverer AT3.

I love my terra grapplers. I put toyo a/t's on my mom's 4 runner and she likes them. She's picky as hell too. They've got over 40k on them and aren't even worn to half tread yet. The toyo and nitto a/t do look very similar. And I think they're sister company's so I'd bet the compounds are about the same too. I scored my nittos on sale. E rated 285/75/16 I got for like $850 if I remember right. They've got 20k on them and look almost new still.

what about nitto dura grapplers anybody run them?

i dont care for terra grapplers i had a set on my ol 6.5 and loved them got my dmax put a set on and they were crap and alot of tire stores in the area stopped selling them because of so many complaints but that was like 6-7 years ago so mabey they changed but they still dont have a high speed rateing

I currently have the Hankook dynopros and I don't like them. There loud and wear out fast compared to the BFG all terrain AT KO's.
