Cool - didnt know the goal of the mod (its limits). So in effect it can bump up the LB7/LLY CP3 to LBZ/LMM Capability? Is the regulator the only part that GM swapped when they released the new ones or what? What Im saying is how did they achieve the result vs. how everyone else is.

Just remember, quantity has to be available to achieve higher rail pressure. Ie.. Lower pulse width as start, then raise till rail will not hold. Then just put the rail where you want it with pw as a control.

I have 2 core CP3's here that I plan on doing some major work to. I think I have figured out a good way to get them to flow more... I will get some details out to you guys as I begin to test them.

FWIW, I ran my truck at the track this weekend and my mod'd reg held 21k+psi with a 3360pw on a single KD liftpump. The whole night was worthless other than some random data. Managed to squeak a 13.8 on a 2.9 60' though...;)

If the damn CAC boot would've stayed put I probably coulda FINALLY go a 12....

anybody end up modding their pump succesfully?

Yupper, not to hard, just gotta be very careful as not to damage any components. Its a free mod, well ita cost ya a couple of machine screws=pffttt , neglible to the cause :D

If your not comfortable, buy it done!

I did a little further work too mine then in the general outline of the mod such as port reliving & polishing some parts too :D

I haddnt had EFI to log data for pre/post comparo's but SOTP, its better off now;)
