As most of you know I ran a Wicked Diesel Stroker LBZ CP3 for roughly 3 years... It exploded earlier in the year and I decided to run my original LLY CP3 that came off with 30,000 miles. Industrial Injection modified my LLY pump to an 85% over. I ran last night at the track, and ran a 12.0 @ 112 at Sonoma Raceway on a terrible 1.76'. After reviewing my log I held a solid 26,4xx rail pressure all the way down track. I had pretty severe "rebounding" issues with my WD pump and towards the end of its life RP in 5th was dropping down to low 25,000. I did however swap in my WD Regulator on the II pump. FYI I do not run oversized injectors... just 3300pw. My previous best MPH with the WD pump at Sonoma Raceway was 110.0mph. So I gained over 2mph, I am not saying anything about either brands just posting my findings. IIRC everyone said LBZ/LMM pumps were much better than LB7/LLY pumps I don;t see how thats true if this used LLY pump is outrunning my LBZ pump

That is a definite possibility... This pump was also built for a 9 second CR so maybe it isn't an off the.shelf 85%?

Maybe because your rebuilt lly pump had less wear on it than your lbz pump did after buying it used.
