i just modded a LBZ regulator and installed it in my truck , dont know what any one usually gets with this mod , but on my truck it was worth an extra 1000-1500 p.s.i rail pressure @ the same pulse i was running , and allowed me to run an extra 75 usec at the same pressure or slightly higher than i was at before . just thought i would share the results for those looking at this mod . for the money i give it a big thumbs up . $60 for a used regulator and modding was free :D

DO YOU HAVE PICS? i tried to mod one like 2 yrs ago, and it disintegrated fast:mad:

i opened up 2 out of the 4 triangle ports on the barrell , dont know how long it will last we will see ,i have no doubts of it it holding up though , i left the other 2 triangles stock to leave some matterial for streingth . sorry no pics just cut slits at the wide end of the triangle same as you would a LB7 .

i would love to one day , Vegas OR Boise is the only plausible choice for now , 2000 ft isnt excactly low but much better than here .

It's not stock anymore;), but I wonder how much less fuel it is then a stock LBZ pump.

stock enough for for my book :D, i dont know but i bet its still short on fuel to a full LBZ pump , i still cant go much above 3200 usec and not go under 21700 on the rail .and thats with good pick up and a mitusa pump

I'm going to have to start giving my truck more fuel and see what my CP3 can handle. Right now I have a PW around 3050 usec IIRC. And I hold 25,000 psi down the strip. But Between an LB7 and LBZ they have different injectors too though, so I wonder how that compairs.

Your for sure gonna pass up my personal single CP3 record of 11.75 and almost certainly take the record for a single CP3! I hope to have my new output shaft installed in time to race with everyone in Billings this weekend!

i know the LBZ's hold rail much better than the lb7's , pump is better not shure how the injectors play a role .

that makes sence , thanks for the info . how does your lbz pump do on the lb7 ?
i have run the truck at a 3450pw without loosing rail pressure on the logs i ran. it stays at 24500 rp. i have not run that tune at the track, but it ran way faster than my 3250pw tune i have in it now.

damn thats pretty good ! i wish i could get that kind of fuel ! this weekend will be the first time i have been able to go past 3150 and not drop below 21700 . now i can hit 3250 i think but will have to log it at the strip because thats what logs i have been comparing with . if the motor doesnt get pulled in the fall due to funds i will have to swap a lbz pump in it .

yeah, i think the 1057 converter i have is holding me back from faster times:mad: anybody want a 1057?:D i wish i would have gotten a 1054 or 1055, but at the time, the "mcrat converter" was thought to be the best
