had the trans built this week and put in a ML converter. they didnt send me any bolts so as a dumb A** i just used the stock bolts to get it back on the road. come to find out they are to long and wont tighten the converter to the flex plate. i got new proper bolts but converter seems like it is not working proper now. has anyone accidently put the stock bolts in and how did u fix it.?

I hate to say it but you may have just cost yourself a converter :( when you use a stock bolt that is too long it dimples the cover in the area the clutch engages too , see the thread just down from your , i9t seems the same thing happend . Maybe Presicion will give you a price break and only charge the price of a new Billet cover ?

Ouch man that sucks. I'd call them up and explain the situation. Maybe they will help you out some way.

when i put it in drive or reverse the truck tries to take off. i half to hold the break all the way down just so it will stay in place.

Call me and I will get it handled. They will replace the cover and you won't have to buy a new one.
