Mixing water/meth

I have 5 gallons of methanol here to mix my own water/meth. Do you have to use distilled water or can you use tap or normal water. I understand what distilled water is but will having some minerals in the water hurt anything? Might plug something over time.

Distilled is best IMO, but I,ve used tap H2O in mine since day 1 with out any issues. Everything is still nice and clean inside, no deposits. I need to not be lazy and just get some big water-cooler bottles full.
