So I'm thinking real hard about the mitusa lift pump. I emailed opie at opieparts.com and haven't got a response. Alot of threads on tuis pump are from last year so I was wondering if he was still around and if he still has them for sale. I was trying to get a price on one and more info on the kit itself and how it is better/worse than the airdog165 that everyone is getting. I've gathered that it's cheaper. I've heard around 500 for the kit. I've heard it's reliable and it ramps up pressure as he rpms go up unlike the electric ones wich can run out at the top end. I've also heard it's super reliable. So why don't more people run this pump? And were can I get one/ahold of opie?

i havent been able to get a hold of him either. it was rumored that he was only doing pump sales through ultimate transmission in Boise, ID now. try them. if they aren't selling them, also look at aeromotive's belt driven pumps at summit. i have opie's small pump i am putting my own kit together for now, if it isnt enough down the road, that is the route im taking.

They are good pumps, and I think Ultimate may be the only one that has a line to Opie.

Dang this sux. Is this pump on par or better than the air dogII?

From my understanding they are one of the best pumps out there if not the best! Look in the signatures of the people who have fully built trucks and normally they have a Mitusa in there. I imagine ^^^Rob^^^ could give you a bit more info on them than i could, though.

I saw an old thread somewhere on the net that said MikeL was selling them....
I also saw a thread that said they were around $1100 for the kit.

I think that was back in 07 or something though, things may have changed.

you will be just fine with an AD, FASS, or PPE pump they are cheaper and much more readily available... plus what if you have a technical question? that for me is a large deterrent

i have had both the large and small Mitusa pumps. Opie does a lot of traveling outside the US so it can be hard to get ahold of him altho i have never had a problem.

i wouldnt say the AD or FASS is cheaper then the mitusa. PPE is but the other are about the same.

I like my Fass but i would much rather have a mitusa or kennedy just simply because they are supposed to be better pumps and i also heard that they are supposed to quieter!

Kennedy? no that is not true exactly... whom are you getting your information from? The Mitusa flows plenty of fuel the Kennedy not so much, i have personally not ran them but have several friends who have and I trust their advice. Personally me i only care about performance my PPE pump is loud but if i can hear it on then i am willing to bet it is working:thumb:

So. Were are we with this pump? I'm hearing their on point with ad and fass but are more expensive.. I'm not building a race truck but wanted the reliability of the mitusa. Still searching for a vendor or hoping someone on this forum has his cell or somthing and can shed some light on this thing.
