red loctite for the convertor bolts, I believe off the top of my head I used 22 quarts of fluid on my rebuild. Also a 12 pack of brewsky:D

If you have any questions on the build feel free to ask. There are alot of us here that can help:hug:

You will need two different sets of snap ring pliers. you will need and engine stand because this puppy can't be built on a bench properly. Make a template off the PTO cover and cut a piece of steel 1/4 in thick and weld a pipe to it so you can slide it into engine stand. You will need a clutch drum press or fabricate some round pipe pieces and use a drill press to compress springs for front rotating assmbly. You will need an ATSG manual and a lot of help.

a helper for sure, NSBU, ATSG manual, stator support bushing, 3-4 ft of half inch extensions and a big breaker bar to get the converter bolts out unless you have a better plan. did mine on a bench, and at times on the shop floor on 2x4s

A big set of ratcheting lock ring pliers are a serious plus. 4 inch piece of exhaust tube with something going across it, and a press for the c1 c2 housing so you can put the springs that came in your shift kit.

What's up Mike? Not wanting to see someone with an Allison that was put together while the tech was trashed?:alc::shots:

I can hear it now. "Everything was going great for the first hour or so. It went downhill from there. Not sure why it doesn't work though........ Are we supposed to have parts left over???? Hold on a sec I gotta...." :barf:

hahaha you guys are good. I'm starting at about 8 or 9 tomorrow morning. I don't think I'll be in the mood from beers then. Tonight yes, but tomorrow after the job is done I will definately enjoy an adult beverage!!;) Anyone wanna join me?

P.S. does anyone have a pump rub spacer that they would like to sell and that I could get tomorrow? I don't have a whole but thought while it's apart might as well. If not I'll just wait for it to rub through, if it ever does.

You won't need the stator support bushing in an 04. 4inch pipe with a window cut in it will help.
