If a vehicle doesn't have power mirrors (2008 1500) how hard is to convert to power mirrors. A buddy of mine doesn't have power morrors. I have a set I'm selling he want to buy but isn't sure how much is involved.

I do know its possible a friend of mine had an 01 with regular mirrors and he bought power extending mirrors and the master switch for the drivers door and he ran power to them and got the to work not sure if he got the turn signals working knowing him if it had the signals in the mirors he hooked them up some how
I wouldn't think it would be too difficult on a 2008. mirror harness runs directly into door modules. Driver's door module would have to be replaced. Pass door module might just need reprogrammed. Would have to go to dealer for programming. I have kind of a related question. Has anyone ever added heated mirrors to a 2002 2500HD? the connectors in the doors are already plug and play. Do you just have to replace heater control and mirrors? Sorry if this is a hijack.
I am not 100% sure but i believe he ran power to the mirror switch and then wires to the mirrior he kind of did it stand alone if i was understanding how he was describibing it.Im sure it wasnt the prettiest wiring job but i did see them extend so he did get it to work somehow,i will give him a shout and ask him.
