Heck, some can't even make a 1/4mi!
I think that's why it's an eighth mile now. To let the other transmission shop catch up.
For those that do not know, Casper was one of the few (only?) ProStreet trucks that never blew the guts out of it's transmission. It was 758rwhp uncorrected BEFORE a .070" shot of nitrous. And the Trans was Mike L.

Just curious Pat, how many times has casper been "refreshed" if any?

IIRC, the guts have been out 3 times in about 600 passes. Nothing ever busted.
Understand that Casper is used as a testbed for various converters and modifications, so it's been at Mike's perhaps a dozen times with the trans out.
Everyone else lost one or more race due to failed transmissions while going down the 1/4. Some even blew 2 trans an event.

Casper is a work in progress. I get to test all kinds of ideas on him thanks to Pat. The SC 1057, SC 1055, and PI ML converters were all built for Casper and released to the public.
My ultimate goal is build a 9 sec. Alli in a full body truck. Are you listening Pat? :hug:
just got Diesel Power today. Its always fun to read something in a big magazine and be able to say "hey I know that guy!!!".
congrads on the article mike...what stuff did they miss or get incorrectly? Not knocking dave goerend, but is it just me or is his "easilly 500hp" expectation for stock dodge hard parts a little optimistic? I hear of guys breaking them with a good boosted launch and 375rwhp.
