Mike, I have a question about the 2010-later 6 speeds...

I know the VB is different, but my question is whether the main case, front housing,rear housing, and guts are any different. Mainly, can the front housing from an earlier 6 speed (such as the SAE 3 housing) be transplanted onto the 2010-up transmissions? Also, will the 2010-later variable pressure VB physically mate to the earlier main cases, and are the pumps different?


I am looking at the later 6 speeds for swapping behind 6.7L Cummins, and an SAE3 housing is required.
