Just dropped in my rebuilt transmission and when I put it in reverse it works fine, but as soon as I put it in drive the wheels start to spin for about 1 second and then they stop. I don't mean it goes into neutral, I mean they stop! I've put some throttle to it and there's definitely some opposing force holding inside the transmission. Best part, no codes. I've swapped some solenoids around to see if one might be stuck, but it did the exact same thing. As always and help is much appreciated.

Did you check the pistons to make sure you had the c3 piston (.700) in c3 and c4 (.780) in c4. If you had these swapped, C3 would have little to no clearance. The snap ring might of been a little harder than normal to get in. Just a thought.

Disconnect main harness at right rear of trans and see if you are in limp. ( 3rd and rev )

This is exactly what I'm thinking, we're going to tear into it and find out.

That's a good idea, if I had been more patient I would have done just that, but I already pulled it out. I didn't know that would limo it into third, but it's good to know for the future.

I couldn't tell you off hand, but they were all checked when it was put back together.

When checking clearance on C3/C4; always leave the springs out and then stack the clutches. It is much easier that way. When the clearance is good. Install the springs and your done.

If you don't mind I'll have Dave call you today, and see if we need to do anything else. Thanks again.
