4lo, gear selector in 3. Truck clicks out 1,2,3. Push it up to 4th & it stays in 3rd still for a long time, sometimes it will up shift some times it won't. Pull it back down to 3rd then up to 4th it shifts into 4th. While in 4th pull it down & it won't go down to 3rd Put it in drive & it clicks off 1, 2, 3 & 4.
Same TCM tune Freighttrain used & same one I've been using for a year now flawlessly.
What the heck are we missing?

Watch it with a Tech 2 and see if the command was actually given to upshift. Alli will only upshift when it is told by the TCM. Certain parameters need to be meat before upshift can occur.

While in 4th pull it down & it won't go down to 3rd Put it in drive & it clicks off 1, 2, 3 & 4.

Its funny how you can run 100 mph throw your tranny into first and it wont down shift. I beilve they are suppose to do that todd

I understand but as the truck is slowing down, it should go down into 3rd. My fuel issues keep getting worse & worse. Gotta get that squared away first

Something a little different happened to my buddy's truck. SCIII was not shifting properly. Changed ECM tune to stock and it still did it. Thought he smoked it or the converter and it turned out to be a fuel filter of all things. It wasn't reaching all the parameters because the fuel was being restricted so it wouldn't shift properly.

Could this be something to look at??

Trucks with fuel issues will hang the shifts @ WOT or near. I think the rail issues you're having and the trans problems are related. I'd guess that your pump is bad if you haven't replaced it.
