I'm thinking about getting a new D-max and wanted to know how the rest of you sold yours as far as with mods or without. Right now I can pull everything off my truck except the exhaust and the tts upgrade kit inside the tranny. I most likely will put my stock converter back in though. I'm thinking It would be benifical to take everything I can off the truck exspecially if I trade it in. Everything I take off can be put on the new one. Guess I was wondering if I sell it with everything would it be worth any more money. The wheels are already gone and so is the titan tank. Just wondering what I should do just incase I get a good deal. I'm working on the dealers personal house so I will see what kind of a deal he will give me.

It's not a for sure thing Mike until I talk to Ron Brown and Mike about it. Has to be a deal I can't refuse or I won't do it.

Yeah, I think they are close enough if they aren't the same. I'd pull as much as you can. Will probably need it for the new one.:D

I think a lot people like to start off with a stock powered truck even if they plan on making upgrades. I agree with everyone else, take stuff off.

Only thing that scares me about waiting for the 2010 models is since GM is in such money trouble I'd hate to see who gets to make parts for their trucks as far as engine internals if they go with who's cheapest.

They have been doing that for years. My mother worked for a Tier 1 supplier. They would take pathetic quality, for cheap money then ship the parts to another company to fix the broken pieces and then ship them back to GM like they were good parts. It was cheaper for GM to pay twice then it was to do it right the first time so that is what they did.:(

Shiny new toy for Steve. Hmmmm. I hate it when I get the fever for a new truck, but not as much as my wife does.

Quite a few body parts are already made in China. Its sure sucks to see a "Genuine GM" box with "Made in China" on the bottom.
Im sorry, but thats just wrong.
Not sure on mechanicals, but it sure wouldnt surprise me.

wait for a 2010 dmax. They will be >400hp and >700 ft lbs from the factory, and the allison will be "substantially upgraded" too.

every subsequent generation dmax has had roughly a 2x safety margin built into the engine before it fails or gets to the "danger zone" on the internal parts. So theoretically that means that a stock 2010 dmax should handle 800 hp (at the flywheel) with a fair degree of reliability..

That would be nice to see a stock d-max take that. Like I said it has to be a deal I can't refuse. I would hate to see this sticker on the 2010 model as this 09 is over $50,000 and dosen't have leather but has alot of other options. I'll find out this week. Don't get me wrong I do love this truck and it runs better than last year so I'd like to see what it's got before it goes.

bahhh how many people actually pay that much though. :)

If I walked into a dealer here I could pick up a loaded nav, leather, etc.. cc/sb LMM for 41-42-ish

I know I wouldnt pay sticker. I could have bought one last year that stickered the same where I bought this one at as my friend was the sales manager that had leather for just over $36,000 but since he dosent work there no more deals for me there.
