Hi everyone.

Looking at getting a duramax in a few months if everything goes like I think it will.
I have some questions that I can't find the answers to. I know you guys cab help.
Which trans has the dm1 settings in the cluster? Are the allison trans in the 05's and older trucks allisons with d321 on the gauge cluster?

First of all, welcome to the site!

To answer your questions, all 06+ trucks have the P RNDM1 because that is when the 6 speed Allison came out. The 01-05 trucks all have the P RND321 and have the 5 speed Allison.

06 model years and later have the dm1 and are 6 speed. Prior model years are 5 speeds.
