Michigan guy new to diesels and Duramax

Checking in to say hello from Michigan (just north of Ann Arbor). Im a gasser who is converting to Diesel. Im also a Ford truck guy converting to Chevy. Just cant beat the Duramax/Allison combo. Best combo for someone who wants a reliable 500hp without breaking the bank and parts and still get 20mpg.
