ok who's seen the article in diesel power?

seems kinda dumb i though ive heard of a few HPCR duramax's hitting the 5k range why does this dude need to change his to mechanical?

yep....i understand it eleminiates all the electronics and stuff but you would think with that sort of tuning in the dark so to speak it would be asking for problems...all for rpm as they put it

Maybe not here, but there have been lengthy arguments about converting from CR to mechanical, on a few different sites in the past.

gotcha....ive yet to come across one just curious why this dude felt it would be necessary for 5k

now for piston cooling and stuff maybe i could understand

it is kinda unique IDK WHY though

huge rpm, much easier to tune, allows for more horsepower. There are good reasons that tractors run P-Pumps/Sigma Pumps. Plus electronics suck when for making power/going fast to the degree that more things can go wrong.
