I was just wondering if any member had the MBRP TD exhaust system installed on their truck, and if maybe they could post a sound clip/video of it. I have some clearance issues with my Diamond eye 4" system, burning through the shock boot, and not clearing my rear sway bar, so I am debating going with a stack with a muffler (or two) or this MBRP single exit over axle turn down system in 4" pipe. I don't really want to stack it, but it may just be the best option.

As always, thanks for your time, help and input:hug:

We did this to a friend of mines lbz. We made our own. Can be done very easily. Literally just 3 cuts, twist pipe 45deg so it turns into middle of truck, rather then straight down frame over rear axle, then add the tail section that u cut off, which was the 45deg to where tip use to be and extend the new center dump over axle. Done.
Ill try and grab pics on next few days. Its really simple to do.
Goin to do this to mine, ever since i did my roll pan, i hate the 5in exhaust and 6in tip. Sticks out to much with no bumper and everything smooth.

X2.

Did that with a std MBRP 5" kit on mine.....was hitting the 10" deaver spring....so a few cuts/welds later it dumped over the center of the axle.

I did a simular turndown system on my LLY that was lifted. Basically I had a 4" DP back straight exhaust and I bought a different tip and took it to a buddy of mine exhaust shop. Got him to cut off the bend that goes right over the axle up near the top where it was still barly turning over and coming down and got him to weld on the tip right there... Long story short I loved the look and I loved the sound... However it did echo off the ground into the bed and was a good bit loud but still not as loud as my past 2 stacks in my LB7 and LMM! :D

Will this be going on a VVT truck? That will make all the difference. My LBZ had all of 3 ft. of exhaust and it is loud at big RPM but is pretty tame when driving normally. It sounds amazing...the most distinctive exhaust note I've ever heard. If it is an LB7, the drone will be unbearable.

Cocos truck is a lbz. So yes it will be a vvt. And i agree lb7 would drone like a mofo. The lbz we made a turn down its all that loud compared to full exhaust. I know ill have mine done soon and will take pics.

I have hd S6020TD with no muffler on both my lb7 and lbz. The lb7 I took out a single stack was much less in cab than with stack. The lbz is very acceptable it is loud in the upper rpms but very manageable no complaints if you leave the muffler in the system I think you will be very happy.

Thanks buddy:thumb: would love to hear another truck with this mod done to exhaust.

I should have noted, I have already taken my 4" diamond eye quiet tone exhaust system and altered the tailpipe to be an over axle downturn, because of the swaybar issue. It actually sounds pretty sweet, the issues I have are 1) it turns straight down, causing two problems, it leaves coal on my garage floor that builds up, and the exhaust rolls forward into the cab when the windows are down...2) it still comes in contact with the swaybar slightly (when the truck sits off camber, and the bar is tweaked, or when doing say, a u-turn) causing a rattle noise that makes my truck sound like a piece of crap:mad: and it is too close to the shock(which was an issue out of the box with this system)melting the boot(what's that all aboot ehh:rofl::canada: ) and it doesn't look all that cool, and for some reason that bugs me, the exhaust need to look cool:eek:

So I figured the guys at MBRP would have the fitment dialed, so I wouldn't have the issues I am having now, and the exhaust will be aimed out the back and away from the cab, not straight down like i have made it, and with the polished tip, it would look cool too, win win

I get my truck back from the shop today, I will post some pics of what I have goin on, maybe if I can figure this computer shizz out, I will get a sound clip up too

Thanks guys

Yeah we made this one kinda shoot right out under the hitch. U can just see the tip edge when kneeling down behind truck. It doesnt shoot straight down at all. But everyone has there look there after. Frankly if i cant see the exhaust anymore ill be happy, i think mine looks like dog doo with a roll pan.

OK :D. :hello:

There's a bunch of weight in the bed and the helper bags are empty, the way I had the rear lifted, with the 2" deavers (and removing the overloads) I think it gives a little more, so in these pics it doesn't sit as level as it does empty. It definitely rides better, and handles amazing, between having a little wider track width and the energy suspension master poly bushing set, it is so stable in corners, it's just awesome:woott: it feels so sporty now, very car like , like no other truck I have had, you do feel the road a little more, but in a good way, you hear it more too, that's the only downside i have deciphered thus far, but I have only driven it 65 miles so far,

See theres an issue. I dont have a spare on any truck ever. No need. I dont run stock size tires, so with that gone the turn down would be easier to do. And would also not need to.be turned down that much.

The spare is going going gone, tonight, as soon as I get all the old parts and tires out of the bed, then yes, it will be/would've been a lot easier. Not sure if I want to spend the coin on the MBRP unit, or take it to a local and have it come out the rear, right out the center tight together in dual slash cut 3" pipes

Yes, wanted to see it with no weight. Its alittle to low in rear for me, but its not my truck. I like rear least 1-1.5in higher in rear. But i pull a ton of trailers everyday. I like a little rake, level is not me.

So when u goin to track to back up the 600+rwhp claim? Lol wanna hear how this suspension does on the track.
