What's the max. attainable RP? 27k? 30k? more? What is the limiting factor? tuning? the cp3? the injector tip integrity? some other part(s) in the system integrity? Would triple CP3.3s be able to raise the max? How about the CP3.4?

If, lets say, 30K is attainable, is that specific to any particular model of DMax - LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM? If so, which ones can and which ones cannot do it?

What are possible (or definite) pros and cons to running rail pressure above 26K?

don't know if it can be done, but i would say less pw + more pressure = same volume would be better.

I think anything beyound 26-27k is a potntial risk to injector bodies and tips ect without much gain , if the pressure is high enough for atomization anything else would be a purly quantity based decsision . meening you can get more fuel in @ the same duration . BTW maxed out is about to get 3 cp3's so maybe they will have some insight soon . not many people are even limmited by 2 cp3's unless they are running really high RPM so to venture the road of more fuel kinda seems to me a mute point untill we can figure how to make use of the fuel we currently have availible with out breaking stuff . JMOP though .

+1 with Trent

The LB7 will not be able to tolerate as much as the later models because of the way the injectors are retained in the head.

27k max is safe for all models and if you need more fuel get bigger injectors.

The root to the question is RPMs... just thinking eventually the inj. can only be hogged out so much before their integrity begins going down at a given pressure. And at the elevated RPMs, eventually the PW can only be so big, even with big inj. so I was just wondering if pressure were a viable option of getting more fuel. Say maybe 27-28K virtually constant with like 100% over inj. would probably have enough fuel for 1200rwhp on fuel only? perhaps a great deal more if we're looking only at possible energy available with that amount of fuel.

Just got to thinking so I figured I'd see who wanted to discuss it and hear some opinions (or facts) on the matter.

So, carry on.

stock gauge maxes out at 180mpa Ive commanded higher but your geussing after the sensor maxes out

underive the second cp3 more or change the front cover like Nasty did

As for the need ...I have no clue, might be like you say a need in higher rpms?

I know an LBZ will log up to 200 MPa. I wonder if it's a different sensor or something different in the ECM.

We won't be running three pumps as of yet, although they are ready.

We can keep 26k with big injectors on two stock CP3's at this time. The truck runs perfectly clean, so there is more room for fuel. Injectors are in the works now.

I don't think the rest of the equipment will handle the triple pumps and the air we have. We haven't needed it yet at any of the events, so not in the plans for the near future.

but maybe go for the trips over the winter??? :D

Can you share any info. on these injectors you speak of swapping to? Or is that secret squirrel stuff for now? Not necessarily specifics just an in-a-nutshell description.
