For LB7. 99% sure Steve and I found my WOT shifting issues...

1 question...

B0724 "TCM speed limit option" Mine was set to "disable" we dont know when or why it was changed.

Changed to Enable, full flashed 9044 single street tune (2000us 20% sticks)

Shifting @ all stock shift points except for 1-2 WOT, which still needs to learn, but getting lower and lower to desired shift RPM/speed.

Whos tables are also Enabled?

Short story.

Wouldnt shift at all at WOT. Was fueling related, as it was pulling fuel at the 4k upper limit rev limiter, but has always had stock shift rpm/mph. Would blow right past the shift and hit rev limiter, bounce off of it few times and then shift. Every geart, no matter what the tune. This was all before we found this "TCM Messages" table and found that issue and compared it to other Lb7 tunes and mine was the only one that had it disabled..

So 2500 on 60 overs would be more max effort? just alittle overfueled lol

I looked for a speed limit option in a 6 speed tune. I couldn't find one. All I have ever heard of though is disabling it in the ECM tune. You all could be on to something. Though its funny that something like that would cause such a thing.

This is strictly for a lb7...

That table I referenced is in the ecm not the tcm..

mine has been disabled for years..... this is not your issue

its in both the TCM and ECM this table will give you issues on high power trucks that run high mph or rpm. If you dont disable it you can massage it in the tcm but thats another story.

Brian shifting is effected by allowing the fueling to get low enough or it wont shift. it wont shift if your tq and base fuel dont allow it to drop mm3 or even PW is to high in 70-80mm3 area but thats useally never the case

If your converter is fine and truly locking then i would play with tliq and base tq.......a log will tell this.

Good luck

His keeps hanging in gear while the commanded keeps dropping. Instead of shifting when it hits 70-80 like you said, it keeps dropping all the way down to like 20-30mm3

Steve

Just a thought but can you run this exact tune in another truck? I have a lb7 i might be able to flash it into and try

I started questioning and thinking converter stuff this morning and yesterday when I was going over the logs.

Now the converter definitely locks, whether or not it is locking when I intend it to, and consistently, is the question. It locks up fine on 2200uS and lower. Throw bigger power and it hangs up like that all the way down to 20mm3
