LML Max ambient temp for winter front?

I bought a winter front this spring at the suggestion of my dealer to keep snow out of the airbox. The instructions on the front say not to use when the outdoor temp is over 32 degrees. My problem is that the outdoor temps where I live range quite a bit, anywhere from -10 to 50 depending on the time of day and weather situation. If 32 really is the max, I have no interest in installing and removing the winter front several times depending on weather, but if I can get away with it installed even on slightly warmer days (I likely won't be doing any towing this winter) I'll go ahead and put it on. Any experiences with this?

Are the LML's still having the snow ingestion issue?? The bulletin is only for the LMM's.

And I here in Colorado we sometimes have the same temperature sings. I've ran mine on my truck with it around 55°f with no issues. Fan kicks on a little more but I was never towing anything.

I thought my omm said 50 and below was ok. I've left it on until 50 ish, 55 on my way home and had no issues.

Ive seen trucks with them on when the temps are in the 50s. Like the guys said, leave it on unless you're towing something.

Pulled my 2000-2500 lb empty trailer up I-70 west out of Denver today (6% grade that lasts several miles), exterior temp was around 35-40 with the winter front on, no problem at all.

Helps my heater get hot a lot sooner during the winter months. I like my heater blowing hot air ASAP. :D

5 minutes sooner is a big deal.

Where I work, the high temp is in the teens when storms roll through, and my drive home starts with 20 miles downhill. Without the winter front the truck doesn't hit full temp until I'm past that long downhill. With it, it warms up just like driving on flat ground.

I just have never had an issue with a CR and cold weather... It get plenty cold here in the winter. 0 or colder at night in the month of jan.. I don't plug in and I don't run a cold front, I know some people swear by the cold weather fronts but I have just never needed it. At work I see the cummins and power stroke guys plugging in and their cold fronts on and the fords are still gelling horrible. Hpop must be prone to gelling, but the cummins is odd to me, our 12v's never seemed to care

I'm with you on that. Never used a winter front on any of my Dmax trucks. They all warmed up great. Now that I have a LMM I'm curious how its going to be. I don't see it being a problem. So far it gets to operating temps way faster than both my LB7's. We'll see when it hits -40C:D
