Do any of you guys know the difference in the harness for a manual t-case versus the electronic. My brother seems to remember his old 03 having an extension on it that went to the second sensor on the t-case to let the ecm know what range it's in. Is this extension something sold seperately??

We got a P1785 code (4wd circuit) on our puller the other night and we realized there was another sensor that wasn't plugged in.

Thanks
Ed

What exactly are you doing here? Elec. T/C has its own controller with a harness going to the motor on T/C, plus a mini harness going to the output speed sensor.

Are you looking for this?

There is only two plugs on my t-case. A two prong one on the tail shaft for VSS and a three prong on over the range lever. I think what you need is the butt splice thing in the first pic. In a 2wd the harness just plugs in to the VSS on the tailshaft of the trans. On the 4wds they use this butt spice doo hikey (tech lingo:) to hook the t-case harness in to the main harness. You could probably hard wire the two peices together for a Ghetto Fabulous fix. But that's how I roll.

anyone got a part number on that little jewel in the first pic?

Mitch,

Give a call to Hirlinger Chevrolet in Harrison, OH. That is who I got mine through. Either Jeff or Lou will be working the parts counter and both are pretty knowledgeable if you explain what you are looking for. I've had to call them a time or two over the last year.:D
