I dont understand EFI at all. I'm man enough to admit it. I guess I should probably download that entire manual and read it, eh?

I think I registered it right. I think I registered one license correctly. They dont give you any feedback if you did or not.

How does a person designate one license for a PCM, and one for a TCM anyways?

I was able to download my stock PCM tune into a file. I cannot find the TCM tune, though.

How does one do a scan of a running engine? Is that what the "PID"s are for?

Can someone please point me to a FAQ or info that is helpful for a total newbie. I looked on the EFI site, but theres not all that much for Dmax rookies

Yes, but which ones to pick I have no clue

Kat, I have a V1 with 2 licenses. Yeah, I have to look at that PDF manual....just didnt want to have to print it all out. That can get ugly.

Thanks for the info on licenses...didnt know that.

TJ, I wanted the options that EFI gives, just didnt realize its this involved. I've watched Tony and Jody tune, and have asked Toman many questions at the dyno day we were at, but its not as easy as they made it look.

OK if you have a V1 I think it is one license for the TCM and one for the PCM. Unless they have changed something. I haven't kept track of the V!'s sorry :(

x2 on the tutorials on nicks site. as far as your stock tunes make sure you find them, then burn them to a disc. also save them in there own folder. you don't want to lose those. my last tip is to read like crazy, here and the dp because there is so much knowledge reading others problems and what people suggested to help. good luck and ask away.
