Why not? In NC you can be charged for riding a horse while intoxicated, as well as lawn mowers, bicycles, etc.

I saw a guy crash a bicycle on the side of the road & get hurt. The police showed up with the ambulance & saw that he was drunk. He got a DUI.

Does not even have to have a motor if it takes place on a public road.

i got an owi a few weeks ago. The cop pulled me over for "not dimming my brights" and I blew a .14 but I was sober enough to go 110 down a 5 mile stretch road that feels like a rollercoaster with my car a few min before. Car doesn't run right anymore.
