Hi All,

I own a Chevy Silverado 3500 Dully.
It has 148,000 Miles
Has an upgraded chip for minor extra HP

I have hauled 10,000+ pounds 3 times and other loads with a goose neck trailer a dozen times.

After one of my trips which wasn't a lot of weight. I noticed the sides of my truck covered in oil! Or at least that is what I'm thinking it is after touching it and smelling it and asking other people what they think it is.

On the way back I stopped in a gas station to check the oil level and showed NO OIL. I added oil and after adding just a quart it showed it was FULL.??

I had it looked at and they were very confused. I even had them check the part that engages the 4 wheel drive. (cannot think of the name) It was full and just fine.

I took a boat to canada and we came back to the truck after entering a store and noticed oil STREAMING down beneath the engine, OH SHIT. Well we turned it on and moved it, turned it off and the stream stopped.

I've seen this stream a few times now and occasionally my truck will be iced with "oil" on both sides.

Now when hauling it has lots of issue with weight. But with out weight you wouldn't know.

Also very low pressure when stopped.

Cannot find an answer Please help.

I tried and so did the mechanic but for one there was oil everywhere all over the underneath of the truck so was hard to say. When it was streaming we tried to get our head under there but couldn't tell

Bet its injectors. Your crankcase is probably full of diesel, pushing the oil/diesel mix out the crankcase vent tube.

What side of the truck? Look at the pass side front of motor, its where it drains(the tube goes down to bottom of motor). Does it smell like diesel? Does the truck smoke? Any blow by?
