So, there I was sitting in class....
I just changed from Air Force officer to Army officer. I had 12 years in the AF before they decided they had 70,000 too many Airmen and sent me packing with no benefits. Well, with 12 years of "space" experience, the Army quickly said, "Hey, we really would like you!" They threw some money my way and took me in as the bastard AF child I was. So, my first assignment was/ is attending the Army's ILE class (a class to educate the Army on how to think, not what to think, leadership, battle planning, etc). Well, the instructor, a retired hard core infantry dude that lives in the past, had been singling me out often to make himself look smart,

You are best not popping the bubbles of folk who believe that the Easter Bunny gets 120mpg in his Eggmobile, but the "man" had him silenced because Bush owns all the oil in the US.

They don't take it well.

Hydrocarbons are not magnetically or electrically charged. A magnet cannot have any effect. It's chemistry and physics.

If fuel magnets were so great, how come they have been sold for 50 years yet GM/Ford/Dodge/Honda/Toyota doesn't bother? Wouldn't it be easier to meet CAFE mileage standards with $1 worth of magnets than teams of engineers and scientists?
