Sorry, I've been making a lot of threads lately, I know annoying right?

I've got one more question.

Debating doing billet shafts since the trans is already apart. I thought I saw somewhere that some machining may be required when installing a billet input shaft. What machining is required if any? What about billet p2 planet and billet c2 hub (other than the sun gear)? Are they both drop in units? I'd rather find this out now than find out the hard way in a week or 2.

On early years you have to machine the c1 hub because the billet input uses the updated larger style bearing. You shouldn't have to machine anything on yours other than the p1 sun gear for the billet c2 hub.

Does anyone know the larger bearing diameter off the top of their head just so I can be sure of what I have and what my new drum is. I was told it was a late 5 speed drum so I should be ok, but just incase.

Post a pic of your current shaft. If there isn't a big lip on the inside of your c1 hub that protrudes down to the bearing your good to go.

Might be a good idea to press your stator bushing in a little further so it doesn't touch the longer splines on the shaft.
