The cups will need to be re-sealed when the injectors are installed and torqued down. Any competent shop should be able to check them for flatness and whatnot, but the cups shouldnt be resealed without clamping force on them while the sealant cures. Just clean the cups and the head really well, and then put it all back together.

I would reseal the cups no matter what, your leak could have been getting past the cup and not the gasket piece of mind to do the cups while its apart other wise you might be buying new seals all over again and doing alot of work to get to them.Just my oppinion

If he has a machine shop pressure test the heads , the seal on the cups would be verified in the same process . We have had a few heads pressure tested and found cups just barely leaking.

X2 unless youre having them pressure tested. I had only one cup pull out of mine, but discovered that 3 had been leaking. S that means that 2 of the leaking cups stayed in the head when i pulled the injectors. Some people leave them in and get lucky, but for me, i dont want to be that far into the engine again unless its for an upgrade, so i cover all my bases.
